Thought it was time for my latest installment on the life and times of Verbal Warning before Drummer Boy starts nagging me, trouble is we've had no gigs so not much to tell really, apart from, Verbal Warning have spashed out £840 on a new PA, I don't believe it, how thw hell did the rest of them talk a tight arse like me into spending that much money? it started with guitar boy suggesting a new PA might not be a bad idea in the light of recent difficulties with the sound system, who was quickly backed by Drummer and Singer boy. After much debate and web surfing it was decided to get a 1000 watt power mixer and some yet to be decided speakers, so we all trooped of to Nottingham on saturday morning after I had managed to get singer boy out of bed! no I was not there with him, I rang him up. First stop Millenium music who were not very convincing so next stop Sound Control. To cut a long story short we finished up with bigger speakers than I imagined, and a bigger price as well, and a cordless mic. Got the stuff round to my place and couldn't try it out cause I got no speaker leads, singerboy turned up with some that had the wrong connectors so Bearing in mind that Guitar Boy had already suggested new leads but I said no, the old ones will do we don't want to spend another £50, told you I was a tight arse, we finished up splashing another £60 on some extra long ones, I was in a state of total shock by this time and , just hope we've made the right chioce.
