the World of Verbal Warning 21.06.07

Well Lee's already beaten me to the punch with the equipment problems last night but it wasn't that bad, we started poorly and got better so, as Basil Falwty might say "I think we got away with it". Probably our most profesional venue to date, complete with proper dressing room, and it's run by Shawaddywaddy's old drummer 'the Duke' which was good and bad news for Ian as he spent half an hour tuning his kit, none of us new a drum kit needed tuning but it did sound better, or louder? when he'd finished, I'm just glad he wasn't their bass player! Anyway we got an encore and against mine and Lee's advise John decided to do Living Next Door to Alice which the Duke said was the best thing we did all night so, John 1 us 0. At the end of the gig the Duke said "Well that was certainly different" and we thought uh uh thats bad, but apparently he was just fed up with bands playing Smoke on the Water everyweek. I think we all benefitted by the experience, and who knows we might get asked back next time a U2 tribute band lets them down.Just off to Sainsbury's to do some shopping, ROCK AND ROLL!!!!!!!!
